During the school year, each student will have the opportunity to be the Star Student for an entire week. Being a Star Student is more than just having a fancy title for a week. Our Star Student is given special privileges and opportunities to celebrate how special he or she is. Below you will find information on each daily activity that are given to the Star Student of the Week.

- Poster Share
The Star Student will fill in the "All About Me" poster. The poster will be shared with the class and displayed on our Student of the Week bulletin board.

- Favorite Picture Book
Our Star Student will need to bring one of his or her favorite picture books to read to the class (or have the teacher read to the class).

- Show and Tell
The Star Student will bring (3) special items from home to share with the class. Students are encouraged to bring items that hold a special meaning rather than just a collection of toys.

- Star Writing
Students will create a friendship book by writing a short letter to the Star Student. The Star Student will create a cover page for their friendship book.

- Star Friends
Our Star Student will be presented with a friendship book created by his or her classmates.

I will let you know the Friday before it's your child's week to be the Star Student so that you can help him/her prepare. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. I hope your child enjoys his/her special week!
